GTA VI has a firm release date, marketing blitz to erupt this summer

Publisher Take-Two Interactive has ended the speculation and confirmed a firm date for the most anticipated game of the decade. GTA VI has received a set release date.

GTA VI arrives in November, disc delays are unlikely

Grand Theft Auto 6 will storm into living rooms on exactly November 19, 2026, ending months of uncertainty and wild fan theories about another possible delay. This date applies to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S console owners, who can look forward to a pre-Christmas hit of gargantuan proportions.

Management's expectations are set astronomically high, with numbers expected to rewrite existing records. CEO Strauss Zelnick stated that the title's November launch will create a brand new financial foundation for the corporation's future direction.

Fiscal year 2027 is expected to bring an unprecedented level of net bookings thanks to the relentless interest in the brand, strengthening the company's balance sheet to such an extent that it will ensure stability and flexibility for future investments.

A significant part of the call with investors and media was dedicated to debunking alarmist reports spreading across the internet. Some sources previously claimed that the publisher would delay the distribution of physical media until 2027 in an effort to prevent content leaks before the official server launch. In an interview with Variety magazine, Zelnick strictly rejected such scenarios and assured players that boxed versions will be available alongside digital distribution on day one.

However, fans hungry for new footage and information must remain patient for a few more months. The official marketing machinery will kick into high gear during the summer. It is during the summer that we should also see another trailer, including gameplay reveals.
