The success of the second Kingdom Come installment has secured enviable financial stability for the Prague-based company. Therefore, work is already underway on an entirely new RPG.

Martin Frývaldský, as CEO of Warhorse Studios, has officially announced the start of work on a new gaming project. The team intends to stick to their proven recipe, preparing a story-driven RPG set in a vast open world. Fans of the studio need not worry about wild experiments with genres, as the developers are betting on their strengths and the experience gained during the creation of previous games.

The massive commercial success of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II brought the necessary capital for further expansion into the company's treasury. The game has currently sold over 4 million copies, and revenues approached the 2.7 billion CZK mark, securing the firm a net profit of around 1 billion CZK. This massive financial injection allows the upcoming title to be funded entirely from internal resources.

However, the development of the new title does not mean an immediate end to support for the current hit Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. The year 2026 will be defined by community care and tuning of existing content. At least, that's what Martin Frývaldský stated. Although the main storyline of our beloved Henry of Skalitz concluded with the release of the final expansion, players can still expect activity from the developers.

The historical or fantasy setting of the future game remains a big mystery. Daniel Vávra has previously hinted in podcasts at a reluctance to immediately work on a third installment of the medieval saga, as he considers the story complete.
