The Polish gaming industry stands on the threshold of a historic milestone that is unprecedented in the European context. The development of The Witcher 4 will climb to a very high amount.

The renowned firm Noble Securities has published an analysis stating that the costs for the expected fourth installment of The Witcher 4 will climb to the 800 million dollar mark.

Record-breaking The Witcher 4

Total costs for the creation and market launch of the game are estimated to reach an astronomical 800 million dollars. Development itself will swallow approximately 388 million, while the rest of the budget will go towards a massive global marketing campaign.

The financial volume places the project among the most expensive products in history, easily surpassing even most Hollywood blockbusters. Studio CD Projekt RED clearly does not intend to take risks and wants to deliver a technically flawless masterpiece built on the modern Unreal Engine 5 technology.

The company management's ambitions go much further than a single game. The planned The Witcher trilogy is, according to updated predictions, set to be released within just 6 years of the first installment's premiere, which places enormous demands not only on human resources.

Experts have therefore revised the original cost estimates for the entire saga upwards. The total investment for the three consecutive adventures should climb up to 861 million dollars.

The attention of investors and players is also focused on the future of the Cyberpunk brand. The sequel with the working title Project Orion is currently in the early stages of preparation under the direction of the newly established studio in Boston. Analysts estimate development costs at 416 million dollars, with a significant part of the budget being absorbed by the complex integration of multiplayer.
